Cement-based microcement can resurface too, but brings its own risks — shrinkage cracking, efflorescence, color shift during cure. Can this go directly over my old countertop?
Yes — the requirement is simple: smooth and stable, with no flexing. Over tile, we degloss, close the grout joints with thinset, then apply fiberglass mesh and the quartz primer. Over an already-smooth top — concrete, marble, porcelain — no mesh is needed at all: degloss, prime, apply. Cabinets stay in place; nothing is torn out.
Is this a microcement or concrete countertop?
It delivers that seamless, mineral aesthetic — and engineers it further. The granite + acrylic resin matrix is more flexible than cement-based microcement and denser than site-cast concrete: non-porous, stain-resistant, and free of the hairline cracking both are known for.
Will it have seams?
No. The surface is cast in place by hand — one continuous plane at any length, with no slab-size limits, no joints and no seam lines.
Can it handle heat?
Yes. Your counters get the same system we apply to floors — a build that lives under foot traffic — sealed with strong polyurethane sealers in wide commercial use.
Is it safe for food preparation?
Yes. These are low-VOC products throughout, and the polyurethane sealers that finish the surface are safe for kitchen use — non-porous, stain-resistant and wipeable.
Can I use it on a bathroom vanity?
Yes. The sealed body is inherently water-resistant, and the wet-area sealers finish it for daily splash and steam — basin surrounds included.
Can I use it on tables and furniture?
Yes. Dining tables, desks, retail counters and cabinetry — wood and other stable substrates, properly prepared and primed.
What surfaces can it be applied to?
Existing tile, laminate, stone, concrete, porcelain — and cabinetry and wood — any smooth, stable surface that is not flexing, properly prepared and primed.
