A smarter way to renovate showers
...without the waterproofing redo
Traditional tile-replacement renovations carry hidden costs: demolition, waterproofing redo, tile removal, waste handling, permit delays, and weeks of downtime. Cement-based microcement systems can install over tile too, but introduce their own risks — shrinkage cracking, efflorescence, color shift during cure. TERRAZZO GraniTech avoids both paths.
Percentage savings hold across markets. Labor rates differ between South Florida, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, but the relative advantage stays consistent — and the patented granite + resin chemistry is what makes the over-tile install possible at all. Building new or gutting to the studs? The same system installs over waterproofed cement board — one material, pan to ceiling. Request a wet sample to see the system installed in real shower conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is TERRAZZO GraniTech a microcement alternative?
Yes. It delivers a similar seamless aesthetic, with a granite-aggregate + resin matrix designed for durable continuous surfaces — more flexible than many cement-based microcement systems and inherently water-resistant prior to sealers.
Can it go over existing tile without demolition?
Yes. It’s applied in thin layers over properly prepared existing tile — no demolition, no waterproofing redo, no waste hauling. The surface you have becomes the base for the shower you want.
Can I use it in new construction or a full remodel?
Yes. In a remodel it installs over existing tile; in new construction or a full gut, it installs over waterproofed cement board or another code-compliant substrate, with the waterproofing membrane of your choice beneath. One system, pan to ceiling.
Is it waterproof even before sealers?
The cured surface is inherently water-resistant before sealing. The Armourcoat wet-area sealers complete the system for showers and steam.
Do I need waterproofing under it in showers and wet rooms?
Over existing tile, the sound waterproofing beneath keeps working — that’s the point of not demolishing. On new builds, use waterproofed cement board or another code-compliant substrate with the waterproofing membrane of your choice.
Are the floors slippery?
No — shower pans and bathroom floors finish with the Anti-Slip Matte PU topcoat, certified R-11 slip resistance.
What surfaces can it be applied to?
Existing tile, cement board, drywall and plaster — properly prepared and primed.
